Social Dog Class ("SD")

This is a BADTC Exclusive Class.

Objective


For handlers who are not interested in either formal Obedience or Rally, but still want to do work (low key training) with their dog.


This class is not intended for handlers or dogs already competing at a KUSA level in Rally or Obedience.


This is a competency class and is not evaluated on a point or percentage system, but if the dog understands a required command and execute an exercise and/or behaviour to be declared competent.

Outcome


There is no time limit to complete either level of this class.


Upon completion of all the competencies in the basic class, a certificate will be issued and the handler can then decide to follow normal main-stream classes such as Rally or Formal Obedience or remain in the SD class and complete the Advance SD certificate course.


Upon completion of this course, the handler can decide to follow the normal main-stream classes such as Rally or Formal Obedience OR remain at this level but cannot qualify again.

Requirements


The dog must have passed Puppies or Bridging 1

 No age restriction for dogs

Dog handler 8+ years old

Dog must not display any signs of aggression towards people or dogs and handler must be able to control the dog.

**Advanced level where it includes Basic level tasks are assessed at a greater difficulty level.


An exercise/s may be taken at any time, and if competent, the class evaluator will sign off.

More than one exercise may be taken in one session.

Exercises can be done in any sequence, for e.g. exercise 13 and exercise 4 can be done on the same day.
